Beth Mead Scores First WSL Goals in Over a Year as Arsenal Thrash West Ham
Mead's brace leads Gunners to comfortable victory
WSL leaders extend lead over second-placed Chelsea to four points
Beth Mead scored her first Women's Super League goals in over a year as Arsenal extended their lead at the top of the table with a 3-0 win over West Ham.
The England international struck twice in the first half, with Vivianne Miedema adding a third after the break.
The win sees Arsenal move four points clear of second-placed Chelsea, who have a game in hand.
West Ham remain in eighth place, four points above the relegation zone.
Mead's goals were her first in the WSL since November 2021, and they will come as a major boost to Arsenal.
The forward has been in excellent form for England this season, scoring 10 goals in her last six appearances.
She will now be hoping to continue her goalscoring form for Arsenal as they look to retain their WSL title.
